Feeling Fabulous!

Good Morning Everyone! And what a fabulous day it is :) Its soooo nice here today! I even wore a nice dress to work and didnt freeze my butt off this morning......yes spring is almost here!!!!

Im feeling FABULOUS today! just so healthy and ontrack with everything! Not just fitness and nutrition but life is good for me. By staying positive I have noticed my surrounds and the people within it are feeling good! Great things are happening and I mean this in a way that I feel strong, balanced and calm, nothing can stand in my way! :D

I did back, biceps, triceps this morning and went hard (as always!)
chin ups (on chinup machine) 1 warm up set and then 3 sets at plate 37.5kg! Good one for me!
lat pulldown widegrip - 32.5kg 4 sets of 8 reps...just just them all out
deadlifts concentrating on my form and lower back with the 30kg bar...session was going great!
bicep curls with 17.5kg bar, huge lift for me (4 sets 8 reps)...really happy! my poor little bi's really got pumped!
incline alternating bicep curls with 7.5kg dbs (4sets 8 reps)
tri kickbacks with 10kg db (4 sets 8 reps)
superseed seated overheads (10kg) followed by dips to fail. finished off with some abs.
So all up it was a great session. I didnt do as many exercises but went alot heavier, my arms are really feeling it. ill go back at lunch today and do 40mins of solid cardio using treadmill, eliptical and spin bike...get to train with my bf Yay!! I really like when we can train together! He hates going to the gym and usually goes at lunchtime so we dont get to train alot together.
My roomie also came along this morning and did the same session as I did and she was so pumped after and really happy with how hard I pushed her. Tomorrow morning we'll get up early and go for a good hilly walk together and I can push her some more!!

Actually tomorrow is going to be a very proud and great day as my roomie is a Kiwi and she is becoming an Aussie citizen tomorrow! I am also told that tomorrow (in the ACT only I think??) is Wattle Day, so at the ceremony there is going to be press and reporters...very exciting we might get on TV!! LOL!
My roomie (Zel) doesnt have any family here so I am going to go alone and take pics and be there for her :) I guess since we have lived together for a while now we are kinda like sisters...we are truely great friends!
Soooo this evening we are going to pick out our outfits so we are looking all pretty for tomorrows event!

Only 5 days left at work till holidays!! Yipppeeeeee! Im sooo counting down!

Ok well Ive gone on and on long enough....so I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL day!

Smashing!

Well I had yet another smashing session this morning..chest and shoulders! Usually when I do bench press I use the 12.5kg db's but this morning I used the 15kg db's!! big for me and Im so(sore) happy!
4 sets 8 reps
bench press 12.5kg db -15kg -15kg -15kg. The last two I had to get some help getting them into position but once I was there it was all me!
incline press 12.5kg - 12.5kg - 12.5 - 12.5kg
pushups 2 sets to fail
shoulder press 10kg db -10kg-10kg-10kg would like to try the 12.5kg db's but they are still alittle heavy to get up over my head...maybe in a few weeks time!
rears (cables) 55kg all 4 sets
laterals 7.5kg db's all 4 sets
double arm fronts 5kgdb's all 4 sets
then I did some abs. Tonight ill go to spin class :)
Yesterday I did legs and Im really feeling it today!! I did very deep walking lunges with a hold at the bottom of the movement, squats, hammies, calves! then 20mins solid run on treadmill.

Also had a wonderful weekend, its been sush lovely weather on the weekends here :) This weekend is going to be great as I am (also my BF and roomie and my doggy) heading to my parents place (who are currently on holiday) and we are going to the Kembla Grange races!! Thats near Wollongong for anyone who isnt sure. One of my brothers is also meeting us there for the day. My roomie and I went dress shopping and have some very pretty dresses to wear for the day! Its going to be so much fun getting all dressed up!
My parents also have a great place, in the back garage they have a bar and pool table and just off the garage they have a SPA!!! So with Wollongong being 25degress this weekend we are taking the bikini's and going to spa it up! YIPPEEE! ill have to take my camera and get some piccies from the races and ill post them..I have added a link that takes you to all my pics (its on the right hand side of my blog under profiles "jane's pictures")......if anyone is interested that is ;)

Nutrition this week is also spot on and Im feeling gooooood! I will however allow myself to have some drinks this weekend at the races and not feel guilty about it!

well take care everyone and keep on smiling :)

YES!!!...its Friday!

Awesome its finally Friday! I hope everyone has had a wonderful and positve week with what ever they have been doing :)

Got up this morning at around 6am and went for a nice long walk. It has occurred to me that the reason I like to exercise o (when Im outdoors) in the morning is because there is no-one, no traffic, no noises around! Although Im working hard and huffing and puffing I really find this time of the morning relaxing...not to mention a great start to the day! Im also happy I got my walk in because its now raining in the ACT and Im not sure what it will be like this afternoon.
I thought id do some pilates this afternoon when I get home and do my weekly house clean! My roomie is going away to the snow this weekend so I pretty much have the place to myself....well except my dog and when my BF comes over!

Nutrition was spot on again yesterday! And after having read some blogs Im more motivated then ever!! not that Im usually not motivated..but you get the picture :)

I have a hair appointment at 1pm today so I get to finish work early YIPPEEE! Im having a trim and my foils (blonde) redone...so ill have nice hair for my holiday LOL!

Well I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend and enjoys what ever they are doing!

another great session done!

This morning I did another great session! I trained back, biceps and triceps. Did dropsets again today and pushed myself hard :) Even did some pb's which made me so happy!!
my biceps are getting very strong...I bicep curled (in good form) the 10kg dbs!!!yippeee :D

I went back at lunch today and did 40mins solid cardio on treadmill / eliptical / spin bike...now Im totally buggered and wouldnt mind going for a cat nap!

Nutrition is also good..its kinda been like this:
m1 - pre-workout - small coffee on skim, 2 corn crackers with protein paste, this is something new I made up yesterday...mix a serve protein into a paste and then spread it on the corn cakes! YUMMM
m2 - post workout shake
m3 - 1/4 or 1/2 cup oats (depending on cardio days and how hungry I am) mixed with water and protein powder and green tea
m4 - small pear or orange or strawberries and green tea
m5 - 200g chicken with salad and tablespoon low fat cottage cheese
m6 - protein shake or after p.m. spin class a post workout shake
m7 - (if hungry before dinner) corn cracker and peanut butter or some almonds or walnuts
m8 - 200g lean meat (usually chicken, lamb or fish), vegies
at night a cup of herbal tea and if Im still hungry some low joule jelly.
drinking atleast 3lts water daily.

I look at all this food and it looks like alot but I like to eat more small meals like this than bigger meals.
In the morning Im also taking some fishoil and at night at dinner Im having some flaxseed oil.
Im feeling really good for eating this way, ill also at times have a little brown rice with lunch or with dinner.

So all my weights are done for the week now and I only have a walk tomorrow morning with my dog and a jog on Saturday...Sunday is total rest day!!

Ive noticed my tummy is very flat which is great..NO MORE BLOATING!!!!! and I have some kinda side abs...if that makes sense, like not actually ab-abs but lines going down either side! Now this butt of mine better start catching up to the rest of my body!!!

Have a fun-tastic day :)

Today was such a fantastic session!! I did drop-sets for chest and shoulders and my arms feel like they are now going to fall off Lol! I trained on my own today and was again so happy at how hard I can push myself. I have also been so good and keeping my training/nutritional diary up to date! I looked back on the past few weeks that I have been using a diary and saw how much improvement I have made in my strength and also my nutrition.
Its been getting alittle busier in the gym recently, I think everyone is now freaking out that the warmer weather weather is here and they want to loose all that winter body fat! I also am happy that I have been keeping fit all year round so I dont have to worry about slogging it out all of a sudden at the end of winter ;)
Yogurt was part of my breakfast up until quiet a few weeks ago when I decided to cut it out and I have noticed that I am not getting bloated, I have also cut out some other foods and I am happy to see some positive results of doing this.
This week for lunches I got some fresh chicken breast and salads! Soooo yummy!! Im really enjoying it so much so that ill have it next week for lunch ;) ohhh if you are near a Lenards chicken shop they sell chicken breast/mince for $9.99 a kg!!!!! Compared to Coles or Woolies for like $14.99! such a rip off, its so worth shopping around.

I have also made a commentment to myself to get to bed earlier and have done so for the past 2 weeks! and dont I feel sooo much better for it. Im waking up early and feeling alive and really awake!! where as before id be so very tired most of the day.

Yay for feeling great and being a happy person :) I dont have a stress in the world...as I choose not too!

*hugs* Jane

Dropsets

Dropsets....man are they full-on or what!! This week in stead of my heavy sets I decided Zel and I needed a change in our training. So we did dropsets!!! 3 sets to fail.
We trained legs today, so it was a real challenge! I work hard when I train with heavy weights but this was a totally different pump! Im so very proud of us for working so hard...we even had the attention of a few people as we were grunting on some of the exercises! hehe...grunting girls...very attractive Im sure ;) my legs are so cained now and Im happy to just sit at my desk all day and not have to move to much!

The only thing that was bad at the gym this morning is when we got there someone had put the heating on! Now I know Canberra can be cold but heating in a gym is not on!! Before we even got started I was working up a sweat! After my first set of squats I actually felt a bit dizzy from the heat and quickly went and told them to turn on the air cond. Was sooo much nicer when the cooler air started blowing from the ducts. But then I hear some guy complaining thats its to cold! I was like what the!!!! train harder and maybe you wont be cold, is what I was thinking...
all up it was a very successful session :)

This afternoon ill take my dog out for a walk to give my legs (and his) and good stretch! also still need to train my abs but I can do that at home this afternoon after work.

So on the weekend I was soooo good with my nutrition...until Sunday. My BF and I went to a lunch with his family..and it was at Kamberra winery!!!! I was freaking out and thought I have to be strong and not drink.....I ended up having 4 glasses of red wine and I am so very disappointed in my UN-ability to have any control.

I dont even know why I did it, I feel like a total moron :/ When we got there I was straight into the waters, I thought I would be right. Then my BF's Uncle offered my a glass of red wine, I was thinking maybe just a little to taste and then thats all ill have, its really nice wine so alittle to try wont be to bad and I had gone for a good run that morning...next minute Ive had more then a taste.
I am trying so hard to have a weekend totally off drinking but I seem to fall back into bad habits! I thought I was stronger then that. Like on the Friday night my BF had some drinks and I didnt touch a drop, I didnt even feel like it.
I just need to find the strength / motivation / or what ever it is to be strong! Now all I can think is that Im 2 weeks from Fiji and I have let myself down and will look gross in my bikini. I am back on track this week and have increased the duration and intensity of some cardio sessions in hope that ill burn some extra body fat! *crosses fingers*

Anyways I do feel positive about my training and the food is not an issue...I just have to be strong for the weekends.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far :)

Damn life is good! I feel soooo amazing and fit and healthy!!! I have been sticking to my nutrition 100% same as all my exercise :) Im finding this easy to do and my body is not craving anything..must be a happy body ;) Ive also noticed some good changes in my muscles which I am excited to see.

My roomie commented that she hasnt felt this good in years and she is so happy that I pushed her and got her into fitness. Its such an important part of both our lives now, I love going hard and challenging myself with this.

This morning I got up at 6.15am and woke my roomie (Zel) and my dog and we headed out for a morning walk. As we walked up this hill near our place the sun came over the mountains and it was just beautiful. It made me feel how lucky I am to be able to get up and see such awesome sites! We did a good brisk 40min walk with lots of hills. I felt sooo alive when I got home. Had some breakfast and headed to work.

Ive said this before, but the fitter and healthier I get the better I feel about all aspects of my life. Things just seem much easier and Im not stressed at all..even in what usually would be a stressful situation, things just are not getting to me. I feel now that I have the strength to stay more focussed on everthing as I dont not want to let this feeling go. Im sure there will be times when things (people)annoy me but Im learning to react in a better way.

I made a girl at my work very happy today,as I decorated her desk with balloons for her birthday this weekend. She said it was a first that anyone had done that for her and she was very happy! And so she should be as she is a beautiful person.

Ohhh I also got a new bikini!!! Its a two piece string bikini and its got candy stripes all over it...so cute! Cant wait to wear it in Fiji :) Im getting very excited!

So this weekend the weather is forecast to be sunny and warm, so Zel, my BF, my dog and I are going to have a picnic by the lake! Should be so much fun!!!

I hope everyone else has a Wonderful weekend!!!
train hard, eat well and be happy!

Yay the week is almost over!!!!

Well Im a happy camper today as the working week is almost over!! I dont mind Fridays at work because they are usually pretty relaxed :) well I make it relaxed ;)

Did an awesome session this morning at the gym! Back/biceps/triceps! Man Im really getting strong on some of the exercises! I need to get some weight gloves though as I have noticed since I have gone heavier that my hands really hurt :( and I also dont want them looking like ruff boy hands!! Instead of going to spin tonight my BF picked me up at lunch time and we went and did some cardio together at the gym. It was so nice to train with him :) was good also cause we pushed each other hard!!

My nutrition is awesome at the mo as well. Been feeding myself good whole foods (as much as one can) and keeping the water up! I really love feeling fit and healthy!! I notice a bouce in each step I take when Im feeling this way.

So after reading all the amazing and very motivational blogs I am now also thinking about competition! Yes thats right you gals have got me thinking of all the possibilities of what I could really achieve with my body!

Question though...Ive read some people training for fitness model comps and some for other comps...the difference I have noticed is that the fitness models dont need to be as lean or have as big muscles as the other comps...but my question is do you need to be tall (like a model) to do this kind of comp?? I thought if I competed this would be a good introduction into this kind of sport :) Im only 151cm tall...so Im not very tall at all...
Hmmmm...Ive been pondering all sorts of things lately..all fitness related but wondering about my full potential and how far I can go and push myself.

I also really really need to workout how to post pics...I have followed all the instructions but when I press publish there isnt any pics on my blog!

well ill head now as its a girl at my works birthday this Sat and I have brought some balloons and fun things to decorate her desk, so when she comes in tomorrow morning she'll get a surprise!!!! Its nice doing good things for others!

be happy - jane :D

Yay Hump day!

Yay today is Hump day!! for all of you who think I being rude I am not...hump day is Wednesday and just means its the middle of the working week!
When I woke up this morning I felt good! I have been making sure I am in bed by 9.30/10pm now. Otherwise I am just to tired getting up early and for the gym...anyways I am soooo sore from yesterdays leg session!!! I can feel every muscle in my legs and they are all sore...but bitter sweet sore that I know once again I have worked hard!

This morning at the gym I did chest and shoulders and must say that I lifted very very well. Im kinda now inbetween with my strength, in that the 12.5kg db's for chest are hard but I can get 8 out pretty well, so I tried the 15kg db's and they are a little to heavy...hopefully in a week or two I will have build up my strength and I can give them another go! And I have spin class tonight which will be fun :) LOVE to spin!

Yesterday I weighed myself at the gym and I was up like 1kg and wasnt happy about it at all...so this morning I got back on the scales and I was back to my body weight...happy now about that. I cant believe how much our body weight can fluctuate!!
I also put alittle fake tan on my legs last night and even alittle bit of colour can make such a difference to how our legs look...much more defined with tan.

Im about 3 weeks out from my trip to Fiji and id still like to tone up my lower part of my bottom alittle, its pretty good now but I just want more of that toned look! Can anyone suggest some good training/nutrition methods that I can do to increase my fat burning? Ive been having a cheat meal on the weekends but I thought for the next 3 weeks ill cut that out and Ive been drinking plenty of water (3lts a day). I also think that once I get my fake tan done ill look more defined. But id like to also know that I have put in the hard work to get the results I want and id like to see my body change alittle more before I go.

Anyways any comments on this would be great and very helpful..

Have a fun-tastic day!
Jane :)

sore...but worth it

Good morning folks!
As always I did a good solid leg session at the gym this morning. I changed it a bit and did 4 sets of 8 reps and did the exercises alot slower...also changed some exercises. Im now already really feeling it in my muscles, I love that feeling when you get sore straight away.
Did some deadlifts which I normally dont do and they really worked my hammies and glutes! Yay for that area getting worked! *mental note*...I should do more deadlifts in my sessions!!
My roomie is also doing great and has finally started loosing some body fat! Yay!! Its great when we see results from all that hard work!

For some reason Im actually feeling heavier...would that be from taking in the extra cals (from 900/1000cals to 1200cals) and Im lifting heavier weight....its muscle growth right.... My food has been very clean and Im lifting more, so Im sure Ive added some muscle....but its getting to me abit. My clothes are not any tighter or anything like that and I dont think I look fatter. Ahhhh me and my head need to get in the right place again!

This week is week 6 of lifting very heavy weight so I was thinking that next week we'd give ourselves a bit of a break and maybe go alittle lighter and higer reps (3sets of 12reps)...? or do those 21's instead? If we do 21's how many sets would I do...need to do some research me thinks!

well I might go and make myself a coffee...feeling tired now today from training so hard this morning...actually I could do with a power nap! They should bring power naps in at work!!!

Have a fabulous and positive day everyone
Jane xo

Monday...already!

Back at work for another exciting working week....well as exciting as work can be ;) Cant believe how fast the weekends go sometimes!!

I had a very relaxing weekend, sat out in the sun on Sat and enjoyed at Chai tea at Starbucks with my BF and roomie. We also went and got some brown rolls (for our cheat food) and some salmon and semi sundried tomatos and made ourselves some yummy rolls to go with our hot drinks! It was nice just sitting around and watching the world go by.
Sun we finally got to Magnet mart and brought some herbs and vegies! Basil, chillies, celery, chives,a curry plant and some different pasley. Sunday afternoon was spent potting up our little plants! Going to be so nice to get the fresh produce once they grow some more. Ohhh my BF also got a mushroom farm thingy, we were told that we will get up to 150 mushrooms per cycle and there are 3 cycles per box! Man thats going to be alot of mushies!!! YUM :D
Sun afternoon we all spent time in the kitchen cooking for the week ahead! Ive got some yummy salads and salmon this week for lunches. We also make some omlette things but we used muffin trays! So I guess they are egg muffins...with some veg in them and tuna! Cant wait to try one :)

So this morning was intervals. Pushed really hard and did some solid sprints on the oval. Even my dog was getting puffed before we were!!! Tomorrow is legs, which I love to train! So I cant wait for that.

Yay less than a month now till Fiji, cant wait!!!!!!!

Dont you just love it when life is good and everything is harmonious and happy!

have a funtastic Monday!!!!

Thursday, August 10, 2006

Good afternoon all :) More and more I think about it the more and more I see the importance of beliving in yourself and your goals.
I have always been a believer of being positive but at times it can be hard to stay this way and at times have lost my way and what I want in life...I have found though more recently that with the changes in my nutrition and my training I am seeing some results and this is now making me feel like a stronger person with other aspects of my life.
Its amazing how being healthy in mind and body can make you feel unstoppable. Its also been so uplifting for me lately to see my roomie getting results from all her hard work as well. She told me this morning that she is so happy to have me as her friend and that I have had such a positive influence on her life....Awwww isnt that nice :)

So not having my car at the mo isnt to bad but I didnt make it to spin last night as it was sooo cold out and I didnt want to ride in the cold and dark! So myself and BF went for a 35min jog instead. Since I havent done alot of running of late I kinda lost my running fitness...but I was happy as I didnt stop once and in the last 10mins I even picked up the pace.
This morning at the gym I did back / biceps/ ticeps and was very happy with my session, it was a solid session as usual and I even went alittle heavier on some of the exercises! I can feel my strength increasing slightly again.

Ohh yeah and Im actually, finally getting use to eating more! Ive made up some really yummy snacks recipes and cooking with whole food products. Cutting out pretty much anything that is processed. Yum yum for good fooods! Almost time to go and make a snack now!!

Have a fantastic afternoon

frustrations......

Its amazing how easy it is to get frustrated over...well most things that annoy us!
I have a pretty new car, only 2 years old. And yesterday when I was reversing the gear kept slipping out. So I took it to the Car place today and they have told me that they have to pull the gear box apart!!!
Lucky for me its under warrenty! All the same its going to be off the road for a few days now. Lucky again for me that I have my motor cycle licence and also own a motorbike....but motorbikes in winter and getting to the gym at 6am isnt not going to be nice!
I found that my reaction to the stupid car today really got to me and I felt very angry and then overwhelmed, why do we react like this to these situations....its not like its going to cost me and I do still have transport. I guess its because it puts me out of my comfort zone...so use to relying on my car and being in my routine and it upsets me when my routines are thrown out.

But Im making the decsion that I will not let this annoy me and that I will not loose any sleep over it (*mental note..dont loose sleep*). Although I do feel bummed about it.

I guess the thing about being put out of your comfort zone is that it can make you a stronger person and teaches us to handle things in a better and non stressful way. You can either choose to dwell on these things or you can take a deep breath, deal with it and move on and think about all the positive things in your life. Its your choice and your life, nothing or no-one but you can make you feel negitive emotions unless you allow them too!

On the brighter note I did chest and shoulders today and although Im tired at the moment with all the running about with the car situation, I did some big and in good form lifts. Now I have spin class tonight.....going to be chilli on the bike at 6pm tonight!!! Eeek!

I also got on the scales at the gym and I have lost 1kg in the past week...happy about this though as Im feeling leaner so hopefully its a sign that Im losing body fat! *fingers crossed*

Just need to learn to also be patient with my results...its like I know it all takes time but Im like, I want it all now!!

Anyways have fun everyone and keep smiling...as thats all you can really do sometimes!
Jane xo

ps...my plan is to put some pics on here, just having problems with that at the moment...

back on track :)

So after still feeling guilty from the weekends craziness, I got up bright and early this morning and headed to the gym with my roomie and we did a HUGE leg session! So we wanted to really give ourselves a challenge...first off squats - 3 sets of 8 reps : first set 50kg, 2nd set 55kg, 3rd set 60kg!! Another PB and a good base of where to start next week for squats.Im learning very quickly that my body can take alot more then I think it can :) the rest of our session was a variety of sumo squats, walking and stationary lunges, calves, hammies. Im soooo feeling it already and know that I worked hard!!

Oh does anyone else keep a train/nutrition diary? My roomie and I have decided too! Should be interesting to see the results on paper. We also took some measurements last night...so Im guessing we'll remeasure in about 4weeks time.

Well I should go now and do some more work and I also have to book in to the hairdressers for a cut and to have my foils done again! Ahhh I love pampering myself :)

Only 4 days left at work...then the weekend!!! Weekends ROCK!

Intervals!

Got up at 6am this morning and went and done intervals with my room mate and my dog! We did a warm then 10x sprints up a hill. Worked very hard and really got the heart rate up! I knew I had to work harder this morning since I had a naughty weekend.......

Ive been doing so well lately with cutting back drinks on the weekends with friends...until this Sat! my BF, his brother and my room mate all had a BBQ on Sat afternoon. I was drinking waters when I was offered a vodka (with diet soda) I thought hey why not, Ive been very good lately I ate clean all last week and also had clean foods for the weekend so id treat myself and enjoy a drink.....BIG mistake! One drink went into 2 drinks and next thing its almost midnight and Im drunk! I am so dissapointed in my (NON) ability to stop at atleast 2 drinks. I feel that there goes my bikini body for my Fiji holiday :( I cant believe I have let myself down, I thought Iwas stronger than this....even as we were drinking my room mate and I were talking about training and our goals....so why did I continue drinking...so very silly.
The thing that bugs me is that towards the end of last week I noticed some good changes in my body, especially my lower body, probably have undone all that hard work now!

So yesterday afternoon into the night I spent all my time cooking and preparing meals for this week. I need to get back on track and I need to really stick to my program. The training is easy and so is eating clean its just these 'few' drinks on the weekend thats going to make all the difference to my results.

Other than that I actually had a great weekend and it was nice to see the sun out. Suppose to be nice weather this week and we are getting tops of 16 degrees! Yay!

I hope you all had a great weekend! xo

Nutrition

Spin class last night was great! went very hard on the hill climbs, also did some abs/pilates yesterday and my abs are feeling it today.
After spin I went and talked to a guy at the supplement shop for some advice on my nutrition, I knew I was still eating to low in cals a day but Ive been doing my head in over it all!what to eat, is it to many cals, then is my exercise right...seriously driving myself nuts!
So he had given me a good plan to stick to and a nutritional plan that is 1300 cals a day...much better then the 900/1000 cals I have been having.
Im including fish oil tabs and some flaxseed oil into my diet. Also changing my regular tofu at lunch to salmon. So I feel better now I have talked to someone about it. Im also going to keep a diary and show him in a few weeks :)
My weight training and cardio has been looked at and now Im also on the right track with that.

Other than that its REST DAY today and I had a sleep in which was sooo nice! ill take my dog out for a nice long (slow) walk tomorrow, also going to Magnet mart tomorrow to buy some herbs and vegie plants as I am starting a little garden at home...will be fun and good to have fresh food on hand!

Its such a sunny day today in the ACT, although there is a breeze thats rather cool...but atleast there is blue skys!

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend :)
also I read Splice's blog today and just want to say WOW!! She is doing so very well and I can see that this journey she is on is taking her to bigger and better things in her life..

Strawberries YUMM!!!

I just went to the city markets (in ACT) and they have strawberries for only $1.99 a punnet! So I got two :)
They are sooo yummy. Ive got a scope of protein powder and added some water to it enough to mix it into a paste. Then I cut up some strawberries and put the protein paste on top!! A great snack and a different way to get my protein in.

So this morning before the gym I made a nice pancake. It was one egg white, 2 heaped tablespoons almond meal and a dash of skim milk. Made one medium pancake and was very nice. I also made some of the protein paste and had that ontop. Another good way to have it is using hazelnut meal instead of the almond meal..just for a different nutty taste! you could also add some crushed walnuts!!

This morning at the gym was back/biceps/triceps. Really strong session. Lat pulldowns 30kg, same as the seated row. Bent over row (single arm) 15kg. Bicep curl seated on incline 7.5kg db. I am really happy with my strength again and can see that I am growing stronger ever session. Now only a spin class tonight and then finally rest day tomorrow! I love rest days cause I dont have to get up at 6am :)

OUCH!

OUCH!!! man are my legs sore from yesterdays session! Did chest and shoulders today, went nice and heavy on all exercises. Bench pressed with 12.5kg db's and was very pleased with this. When I got to shoulder press I used the 10kg db's! Very very happy with this lift as well :) My lateral raisers I used 7.5kg db's..usually use the 5kg ones! I can see that I have definitely developed some good muscle in my arms of late and also some really good strength.
Later this afternoon ill head off to my spin class...man I love these classes :)

At the moment Im finding that I am soooo unmotivated with work and just want to read more about my health/fitness/nutrition. It makes it hard at times coming to work also when probably 90% of people here dont give flying about their health. And then I get people asking stupid questions about my protein shakes and my meals and screwing their noses up..."Ewww how can you drink that thing"... and Im like..."hello you eat cake and crap all day" and your questioning what I eat! I just get so annoyed that people ask me questions but then tell me their optinion on it all and these seem to be the people that are in deperate need of a total body overhaul. A guy I work with was actually telling me that there is nothing wrong with Krispy kremes and he couldnt see why I wouldnt want to eat them...I just had to walk away as I could not believe what he was saying..........*big breath* Ok Im good now, venting over! ;)

I have noticed of late that since I have been really pushing myself at the gym and eating very clean food that I am alot more tired...is this just an adjustment period? I getting enough sleep at night, Ive pretty much totally cut all alcohol out and Im eating healthy...shouldnt I feel more awake than this?

Well id better be off and do some work...I guess ;)

stay happy and keep smiling everyone- jane xo

blue sky makes me happy!

It was so very nice to wake up this morning (although it was very cold) and see blue sky! It totally made me smile :) which is so nice to do at 6am!
So up I got and headed to the gym for my Tues leg session, Started on smith machine and got the weight up to 50kg!!! was very happy with that. I went onto sumo squats and then to lunges and all the way through out my session I was strong and used some nice heavy weights. Im now already getting soreness in my legs...that bitter sweet soreness ;)

The office in which I work is weird as when I got here this morning it was so hot and now its getting to cold! ill have to put my jacket on soon!
Ive also been drinking alot more greentea this week, some brands in the past I have found to bitter tasting but the one I have now is great! Its the Nerada organic greentea, just got it from Coles. Im having that instead of coffee and feel better for it.

So I am still slowly increasing the amount Im eating but man Im still soooo full. I cooked this awesome chicken dish last night..I added green chilli peppers to it. They are different to red chillies as they have more of a pepper taste then actual chilli taste.

Lately I have been so motivated, its weird how it just comes to you without even trying. I guess thats what happens when you set goals in your life and you want things badly enough.
Can I ask what sort of goals do other people set to stay motivated and to want to keep getting results when they are not competing? or if they do not compete?

well Im feeling that it is a little warmer here lately..or it could be me just wishing! come on summer!!!!
