Monday already!!!!

I cant belive its already Monday!! The weekends go soooo quickly! I had a really great weekend and wish that it went for longer...although I wish that every weekend :)

Ive been also noticing the weather in the ACT hasnt been as cold over the last week..hopefully thats the end of the really cold days! Come on summer!!!!!

Rae sent me the site for Victoria's secret and they have some awesome swim wear...thanks for the site Rae :) they also have some really good sales on at the moment. Worth checking out!

So I got up at 6.30 this morning and went out and did some interval stuff with my room mate, and my dog! We did a warm up and then did 10 reps of hill sprints on a nice steep hill near my place. My dog loved running up and down with us..he was going crazy and bouncing around everywhere!!! LOL
So it was a very good session indeed. Now Im back a work for the week and already day dreaming about this weekend.

We have decided to go and buy some pots and vegies this weekend and start a mini vegie garden at home. Also going to get some herbs! I was at my parents on the weekend and my Dad is a very keen gardener and gave me some vegies from his garden...they are sooo much more fresh and taste better then the ones at the shops. So he has given me the low down on how to plant etc.. be nice to have some fresh produce!

Ive also been trying to eat alittle more but finding it a little hard. I ate more yesterday for lunch and dinner but was to full and in turn that made me feel gross :( I'll persist with it though....

Has anyone else had problems posting pics?.... ive gone through the browse option and it all seems to be working then when I go to preview my blog there is no pic!

Wollongong!!!

*YAWN* Good morning!!! Well my plan was to sleep in this morning but Im finding since that have been in the routine of getting up at 6am during the week for the gym,now when the weekends come around Im awake at like 7-7.30am! Lucky I still feel like I have had a sleepin though :)
Well Im at my parents place in the Wollongong today and man the weather is soooooo much nicer to wake up to! The sun is out and its still cool but warmer than Canberra, havent even had to put the heaters on lol ;)
Its cool coming home and seeing the folks and my brothers, such a wonderful and supportive family.My other old dog still lives here to so Ive been giving her loads of pats! ill probably be going to visit my girlfriend this morning..known her since we were like 5! And we have been friend ever since, man thats about 24 years!!!!!! its one of those friendships that you know will always be there :)
So dinner last night was really nice, I had a yummy grilled chicken dish,my BF also had a great time and got rather drunk! It was funny as I was driving I only had one glass of wine over dinner and then all the way home he was chatter chatter chatter..you know drunk talk! He is such a sweetie and funny! My dinner was so big that he ate all of his and some of mine and when we got back to my Mum and Dads he ate more!!!!!! His also into bodybuilding and he is ALWAYS hungry!!
Im also very proud of myself in the fact that Mum and Dad offered to drive us to dinner so I could have a 'few' drinks but I declined and drove myself.Usually in the past we have a 'few' drinks and I decided recently to cut right back or not have any at all and its going really well. I thought it would be hard not to drink as all my friends do but something has just clicked in my head and Im really incontrol with it all :) And here I was thinking that it would be a hard thing to stop on the weekends. I feel so good when I get up and dont want to go back to getting hangovers!!! YUCK!

Anyways Ive been thinking about my food intake and the problem I have is that I am actually very full after I eat so Im really not sure how I am going to fit anymore food into my tummy? I have increased my protein shakes by another one and also before the gym Im having a 2 egg white shake on skim and water, the only problem I have found is that since I have that shake in the morning I am now not that hungry at the time I use to have my breakfast after the gym, Im eating it anyways but then Im kinda over full. Any suggestions?

Ohhhh yeah and good news!! Yesterday we finalised our booking and payment for our Fiji trip! YIPPEEE! Now I have to go bikini shopping...well Im a few weeks. Thats the other problem with Canberra there isnt exactally loads of shops selling swimwear this time of the year...I may have to shop online for this one!

Well we are heading back to Canberra today and then out to dinner with friends tonight as another friend just had a birthday! We are going to a lovely restaurant called Bella Vista in Belconnen, awesome food and its italian so I have a good range of foods that I can have.

Id better head off my Dad just woke up and Im going to go out to the kitchen now and make him a coffee..actually I think ill have one too!!

big blog!

Well last night I did an awesome spin class..really got into it and felt great! This morning my BF, room mate and I all got up at 6am and headed to the gym. My roomie and I did a back/biceps/triceps session. Went really hard and did some more PBs'. I fell totally pumped for it and while doing some exercises I noticed some good muscle development in my arms/shoulders...its like they grew over night or something lol :D

Im also soooo proud of my roomie she is new into the gym environment and doing so very well and also getting some great results! My BF is also into body building and we couldnt help but have a bit of a perve at him as he was training...Mmmmm he has great arms and huge shoulders! ;)

So I was going over my nutrition yesterday and decided to work out my calorie intake.I eat about every 2hrs, lots of vegies and lean protein (and protein shakes) and Im taking in approx.900 to 1000 cals a day. So Im thinking is this not enough?My goals are to reduce body fat and increase muscle.So last night at the gym and I went talked to one of the guys from the supplement shop there and he has advised me that my nutrition is great,very clean but I may want to take in some more protein...so for the next 4 weeks (to give it all time to work) ill take in an extra protein shake and as my other shake ill use 2 egg whites,skim milk & 1/2 tea spoon honey for taste. Did the egg thing this morning before the gym and I actually felt good for it! so ill keep you all posted with my results over the next few weeks.

ok so my training program has changed alot recently, this is where I am now.
Mon: intervals - 30mins in total.
Tues: legs, abs
Wed: chest and shoulders, then spin (RPM) class in the evening
Thurs: back/biceps and triceps, then spin (RPM) class in the evening
Fri: rest
Sat: intervals - 30mins in total. pilates
Sun: rest
Ive been taking my dog out for a walk on Mon,Tues,Fri, Sat , Sun but its very light walking,more so my dog gets out.

I have been doing this program for about 3 weeks now and seeing some good results. My weights set/rep range at the moment is 3sets 8 reps..in a few weeks ill change it to 3sets 12reps for about 2 weeks...bit of a break from the heavy stuff.

Its so much fun now that my roomie is also training, makes it easy to get up in the morning when everyone is up! well except my dog he is never impressed when I get up and wake him and put him outside, especially now its cold here...poor doogy! (Bull is his name) Ive had him since he was 6weeks old and it will be 11years this Aug since I got him :)


Well its almost the weekend!! and Yay I have tomorrow off work....bigger YAY for a long weekend! Im heading to Wollongong to see my family and also to take my BF out for dinner as it was his birthday this week. We are going to a swish restaurant called Panarama house..it over looks all of Wollongong and is Italian and Seafood, so shouldnt have a problem ordering something healthy!!

training!

Did an awesome legs session at the gym yesterday and today I am super sore!!! I have taken my weights up and doing less reps. Also did a PB with squats...did 50kg!!! thats pretty huge for me!

chest and shoulder session this morning and also had an awesome session. Instead of doing my usual 7.5kg DB bench press Im now up to 10kg DBs' for bench! also did one set with the 12.5kg DBs'.
Spin class tonight and Im looking forward to really sweating it out and puching myself hard!!!

I find it amazing how exercise can make me feel sooo good! Its also such a good feeling when I do PBs', shows me that all the hard work is paying off.

So goals for me over the next 6 weeks is to cut up a little so Im looking fine on that beach in Fiji...one thing I know that could hole me back is going for drinks on the weekend with my friends..I need to really focus on what I want in the end...not just to be fitter and toned but to feel healthier inside and out.

First blog ever!!

This is my first blog ever....firstly I would like to thank Splice for being such a nice person and giving me the idea to start my own blog, in doing this I hope to learn about myself and watch my progress and keep myself motivated to be the best that I can be!
So this morning I got up at 6am and headed to the gym..did a huge leg session and Im already starting to feel the soreness in my muscles...but its the good soreness, the kind that you know you have worked hard! I love going to the gym and I love the high I get from training. I generally am a very motivated person but the winter here in the ACT reallys makes it hard to get up in the mornings at times! cant wait to move away to a warmer climate!!

My short term goal at the moment is to get in better shape as I am going to Fiji in Sept (6 weeks) with my boyfriend! So looking forward to being on the beach...so I gotta tone up some more so I feel totally confident on the beach in my bikini, thats my main motivation at the moment with sticking to good nutrition and exercise!
