So its another cold day in the ACT today..a huge top of 11 today :-/ I usually walk into work but today I jogged just to keep warm!!! Not long to go till QLD only 6 months!! they start building the house in 8 weeks :)
Training has been great this week, I had a 'sickie' on Monday and trained with Pete(he also was 'sick'). It was such a good session. We also had a nice sleep in and in the afternoon went to Star bucks and had a giant cup of english breakfast tea. Thats our new thing now that its getting colder :) It nice just to sit there and chat about whatever over a hot cuppa!

not much else out of the normal routine is happening right now, looking forward to Pete and my combined 30th in a few weeks, also have Petes uncles 60th coming up and looking forward to the long weekend in June as we'll head to Wollongong for a few days.
Just training a bit harder at the moment as id like to lean up alittle more for our 30th! I have a fabulous dress and want to look my best ;)

Far out what a chilli morning in Canberra...got up at 5.30am and got ready for the gym, went out to my car and it was covered in frost :-/ So I had to get a bucket of water to throw over the windows..this made it feel even colder. On my way to the gym put the radio on and they said it was 2 degrees!!!and this is only the start of winter :-O

Anyways once at the gym I smashed out a good legs session. Did a warm up set of squats and after my first real set I could take my jumper off, so I warmed up pretty quickly, although I think I may have gone faster today because of the cold.
Pumped out squats, deadlifts, stationary lunges with my front foot on a Reebok step then some more lunges with both feet on the floor, onto sumo squats super setting that with walking lunges.
Then did some glute exercises using my lifting straps wrapped around my ankle on the cable machine. In my rest breaks I did calves. So as you can imagine I was petty buggered at the end of it all, worked up a nice sweat too!
Jumped onto the treadmill after that for a slow easy jog to flush out my legs, only did 4.5km but I dont like to go to crazy after a big leg session and also my legs by that time were getting tired.

Did a great chest and triceps session yesterday and Im feeling it today..along with my abs they are nice and sore too!! Dont want any of my body parts to miss out on DOMS now Lol!!

So Ive been making a yummy lunch this week! 95 gram tuna (springwater drained off) mixed lettuce, 2 x hard boiled eggs and balsamic vinegar!!! The vinegar gives it a great zest!
Dinner last night was also yum - chicken, 1x can low salt tomatos, tablesp garlic, teasp chilli, 4 large mushrooms, 1 small eggplant, fresh bunch of parsley and corriander. Served with fresh pepper and some grated light cheese. I was most impressed with how well it turned out :)

hope you all have a positive, happy day!

Hey all :)
well the trip to Brissie was a total success!!! pretty exhausting and full-on when we got up there as we picked everything we wanted on the first day and signed off on our contracts etc.. Got to see the block and its everything we hoped for also Petrie is a gorgeous suburb!

We stayed at Redcliffe and that was also such a beautiful place, went for walks everyday there along the coast and found our local beach 'Suttons' beach!! Cant wait till its summer and we can go swimming there! We are only about 15mins drive from our block to the beach! And approx 40mins to the sunshine coast..so I can see lots of trips there on the weekends :-D

The builder was really nice and drove us around our area and also North lakes, a newer suburb. It was a bit confusing at first as we had no idea where thing were but on day 2 we took the hire car and drove around and its actually a really easy place to get about. There was also a massive Westfields at Northlakes so that made me happy ;)
Now we only have a little over 6 months to go!!!! Come on November!!! We actually are moving on Fri 23 Nov!

Back at work and its been hard to get into work last week as I was still thinking about the house and how much better everything is going to be when we move. It was also nice and warm when we were in Brissie and Im now actually feeling the cold here alot more! Only getting to 15 today..yuck!
My parents and one of my brothers visited on the weekend, it was great to see them. Went out for lunch yesterday with them. My Mum looks great with the weight that she has lost and I can see a new confidence in her, so much happier and things like her skin and hair also looked healthier! Go Mum!!

Well id better do some work, so have a fab day everyone!!

and todays pic is my girlfriend and I posing at a wedding. I totally love this dress I am wearing....I need to get invited to another wedding or special occassion so I can wear it again!!
So YAY todays is my last day at work for a few days. Getting very excited now. Last night I packed everything, got some supplies and got the clothes I want to take out.
Its kinda annoying cause tomorrow morning at 5am it will be cold here and when we get off the flight it will be hot! So Im going jeans, open toe heals, singlet, long sleeve top and a jacket! A bit of clothing for all occassions Lol!!
Got up nice and early this morning and did shoulders at home, since I had to be at work early (cause Im leaving early) I really didnt have time to get to the gym. Lucky being a shoulder day I dont need a heap of weight so I used my resistance bands. Did a great workout too!! Shoulders are nice and sore. I then went out and did 20mins high intensity intervals. I was totally stuffed by the end of it all. I love that feeling :-D
Tomorrow after we get to our hotel Im hoping to get out in the afternoon and either do a long walk or a quick 30min jog. Pete doesnt like running so if he is with me I dont mind doing a long power walk...after all its nice to do some training together :)
I have eaten extra clean this week and feeling pretty lean, so if we have a few extra drinks or food this weekend it will all pan out...well thats the plan! but Im more then sure we'll be doing alot of walking.
I checked out a website of Redcliffe, and there are some gorgeous places to walk!! There is even pelican feeding and some markets on this weekend, so ill be sure to check it all out.
Its a good feeling being able to go and see where we are going to be building and then oneday soon living, ill make sure I get some piccies of our block of land...still is so surreal that we actually own it! Now just a matter of getting the house and its the full package!!!
Our builder Brett has also been so lovely and professional and we look forward to also meeting him.
So ill probably try and get away from work today at 2.30, get home do a load of washing, double check I havent left any paper work or anything we need to take, and take my doggy Bull for a nice long walk...I always get alittle sad when I have to leave my boy! And he knows something is going on as he was watching me pack my bag last night. He was sooo cute and being all snuggles and not letting me out of his site! But Zel is there and I know he is in good hands.
Have a fun filled weekend everyone!!! I know I will :-D

One and 1/2 days till Im on leave for a few days and Im hanging for it. Got work to do but you know when you know you are going on leave and you get into holiday mode...well thats me! I also had to move all my training session this week to fit everything in, its made me a bit tired being out of routine at the gym and with the classes I do and the order in which I do things. But thats ok its all training and thats the main thing!
Since I wont get spin in this Sat Pete and I are going to make sure we get a good cardio session in at the beach! Will be great :)
I started preparing a list of things to take for this weekend as in supplements, snacks and protein. These are things I can not do without. So it will be off to Wollies tonight, I think ill also get some protein bars as we are flying out at 6.30am and ill need some breakfast on the plane! I've also chilled a big bottle of water to take so we can have our protein shakes.

It was funny last time we flew and had shakes on the plane, you get the funniest looks from people, I found it very amusing :) Its like dont worry about what Im eating buddy, you need to watch what cr*p you put in your own body.
Another time it was funny a lady asked me how I keep the weight off when Im eating a chocolate bar that early in the morning...of course it was a protein bar!! Lol.

So Im all Miss Organised and ill also have my clothes etc out this evening, already got all of Bulls food prepared so Zel doesnt have to worry about a thing when she feeds him for me.

Did an awesome back and biceps session at the gym this morning. Really pumped the muscles and I was feeling and looking pretty lean...I love those mornings when the mirrors make you look so much more tiny!!
After weights I did another 5.5km run on the treadmill. My legs have full-on DOMS from yesterdays leg session so it took me a bit to get into a good running groove. Still smashed it though ;)

My mind and body are still so clear in all my goals and I still feel very balanced. I feel fortunate to be this way and since I have been like this for so long it is now coming second nature to me now.

I went to an all work meeting the other day and there was a Canadian speaker there from an organisation called www.innercompass.com.au A really really amazing lady called Zoe. She spoke about a BHAG - Big Hairy Achievable Goals!!! And she spoke on how to get them and overcome your fear. As fear is what holds people back and fear is just an emotion and we can all overcome our emotions with the right tools. It was great cause she said that exercise is a great key for overcoming your fears!! I liked that part :)
So check out the website, I think its a very worth while program for those that just need to learn how to use the tools they have.
You are all deserving of being the best you can and one way to do this sometimes is to ask for help. There is no shame and certainly nothing wrong with that :)

So on that note..have a beautiful day! (man this was a long post...sorry if it bored you!)

Yo!! what time is it...? Wow its been a week already since I blogged.

I love this piccie of my dog Bull. I have another one where we put a hat on him, ill have to post it later.

Im not sure if Bull is happy about having a watch on or not!! Lol.

So Ive still been very busy at work but its made the last week go by so fast...which is great cause it means that this weekend is my trip to Brisbane weekend!! Yay! Im sooo looking forward to it, and have been watching how nice and warm it is still there. Training has been going great guns with 3xRPM classes a week and 3x5km runs along with my usual weights training and taking Bull for long walks in the afternoons. Im feeling really good to!

Ive also been doing some more pricing on my home gym equipment and have now got a good idea of what we are getting and the costs involved. Not that money is a problem but you dont realise how expensive it can get. But we are getting commercial grade stuff! Only the best when you lift heavy for durability of the equipment and also our safety! Pete the crazy gym man latey has been bench pressing with the 65kg dbs!! So ill be making sure we get a good solid bench! He has also been doing free weight squats and deadlifts instead of using the bar and has been getting up to the 80kg dbs!! so strong...I have trouble rolling those weights across the floor, let alone lifting them Lol!

So today in the ACT its been overcast all day...no sun at all :( I miss the sun when it hides behind the clouds, I hope it comes out for even a little bit. Its also very cold in my office today, Ive had my outdoor jacket on all day!!!

When we're in Brisbane this weekend Im hoping to go here http://www.morganseafood.com.au/rest/restmain.htm looks sooo yummy!!! Also going to take my bikini and get some swimming in, since I dont get to the beach to often. Its now just under 7 months till we move and then there will be plenty of beach time!!!! Yeahhh!!!

Nutrition has also been great and today for lunch instead of my omlette I scrammbled the eggs, then added my tuna, 1/2 a zuccini and heaps of fresh cracked pepper and fresh parsley! Yummo! I have actually been using alot of fresh herbs lately instead of dried and didnt realise how much more taste there is with the fresh!!!

well lunch is almost over so ill get back to work ...also have to remember to put a Mothers day card in the mail for my Mum, since I wont see her this Mothers day.

bye for now..have fun, smile, laugh, eating healthy and train like a demon ;)

Just been checking out some blogs and I must say how fantastic do the girls look that have been competing recently!! Congratulations to all who worked so hard!!!

Not alot has been going on here in the ACT....besides the weather getting rather cooler :( Its was a very fresh 5 degress this morning on my way to the gym...brrrrr!!!!
But once I was in the gym I quickly warmed up! Trained chest and triceps this morning followed by a 5km run on the treadmill. Didnt do intervals this morning as my left glute was really sore after smashing out intervals last week! So I just did a steady run of 5k in just under 30mins. Still very happy with that.

Work has been flat out but it makes the day at work go so much faster!

Been talking to our builder and arranging a meeting with him next Friday, we fly out of Canberra at 6.30am and will be at his office in Brisbane by about 9.30am. Looks like its going to be a busy day with all the other appointments we have while we are up there.

well better get back to it..more work is sitting there waiting for me!!

have fun!!
