Moving house!!

How exciting for me..Im moving house this weekend! Cant wait...Lol. Its all good though as Zel and I have hire removalists, rather their backs and arms being strained than mine! and anyways I need to recover for the gym so I can start all over next week!
I have a new program that I have put together and had some people look at:
Mon - chest & abs
Tues - legs
Wed - back & biceps
Thurs - shoulders
Fri - hilly walk
Sat - easy 40min jog
Sun - rest
I have 1 hour walks on most days at the start of the week. Now its warmer I cant see the point on doing cardio in the gym when I can be out getting fresh air and sunshine! I also have some interval sessions during the week.
So I am pumped to get into a new program and excited to see some results soon. I have become much stronger recently and i believe that the extra rest between body parts will be good! Nutrition is good and Im eating really clean. just be watching my alcohol consumption on the weekends now.. changed more to low carb beers if Im out with friends (in hope that this is better for me ;) )

Great things coming up for me over the next 12 months..moving to QLD and buying a house with my gorgeous bf, meeting Deb in a few weeks time and also the excitement for her comp next weekend, training hard and just being the best person I can be!

Awesome session!!

Hi everyone
well this morning at the gym I had an awesome session!! Trained back,biceps,triceps!
Started with deadlifts, I find this exercise is great for my lower back strength, I got up to 50kg!! then wide grip lat pulldown I did 35kg! onto bi's and I did alternating db's and used the 10kg ones. The rest of the session was a total success!
I love training so much and I love the way it makes me feel :) As its getting warmer now I can drop my spin class and take my dog out for a good hours walk at nights...his a very happy doggy indeedie!
So I have also just booked for 5 days off at the end of Oct. We are staying in Surfers Paradise, pretty much right on Cavill Ave. I cant wait :D
My bf and I have also been talking about what kinda of house and where we are going to move to when we go to QLD next year to live. We found some gorgeous house and land packages in a place called Upper Coomera...which are beautiful homes. I hanging to get into a brand new house! My bf owns his place in Canberra and I have been renting with my girlfriend Zel. She is also moving with us when we go. I think we all need a change and I need to get back to living near the ocean! So this area we are looking at is approx.35mins from Brisbane and approx.25mins from Surfers :) Now thats my kinda place!
Nutrition has been great this week...sooooo happy to be cooking my own food again. Ive been grilling chicken on the bbq and having it with salad..YUMMMO! I also spoke to some guys that work in the supplement and they have given me some good tips for my training and nutrition.

So starting next week my training will be changing. I cant wait :D Its sooo very exciting!!!!

Im Back!!!

Hi all :) well Im back from my trip to Fiji. I must say that although I had a good time Fiji is a quiet a dirty place (well the mainland anyways). I guess that was a little disappointing to get off the plane and see rubbish all over the sides of the roads. Lucky we stayed on an island and it was awesome getting up each morning and jumping into the ocean...so nice and warm!!! The food there was good but since I have been eating such clean food at home the food there did taste very oily!
Still though its always great to get away from work and everything.

So now Im back at work and also back into my fav place....THE GYM!!! I didnt realise id miss it so much! Did an awesome legs session this morning :D I pushed myself really hard! YEAHHH!

The house I am currently renting is for sale so Zel and I have found another place and are moving this weekend. So nice and a huge 4 bedroom house! and only $160 each a week!! Great backyard for my doggy as well. This will be the last place I will live in while in Canberra as next year I am moving to QLD!!! Cant wait :)

Well id better be off and check out some of the other blogs! ...hehehe in work time of course ;)

HOLIDAYS!!!

Well its almost holiday time for me :) Today is my last day at work...and I working very hard! NOT!!!Lol.
Tomorrow will be pretty much sent packing and getting my spray tan done and then tomorrow after lunch ill drive to Bondi and stay at my brothers place for the nigth. He will take Pete and I to the airport on Friday morning and we fly out at 8.10am!! Im sooooo excited...and I jus t cant hide it..... ;)
I tell you its cold in the ACT today! Where has my lovely sunny warmer weather gone?? it better be back by time I get home.

So the weirdest thing happened this morning at the gym. Today I train chest and shoulders and last week I did a PB for bench press using the 15kg db's.. So I was feeling great and had heaps of energy this morning and thought id go for the 15kg's again...then a bad thing happened! I went to lay back and lift them and it was like all the energy was sucked out of my arms..I actually almost dropped the weights on my head!!!! This totally threw me out and broke my concentration. So the next best thing for me to do was re-focus and use the 12.5kg db's...I competed my 3 sets of 8 reps (although they were hard to do). I also noticed this morning I was weaker on all my other exercises! Sooo Im thinking cause I have lifted so heavy for the past 2 weeks of training that my muscles probably havent recovered properly.

This holiday will be good for me to have a break away from it all I thinks....its the first time in Im not sure how many years I have had time off training! Arrgggg!! almost kinda scray to me!
But I will go for nice jogs along the beach in Fiji and still watch my nutrition as I dont want to totally blow it all in one week!

Well id better be off...not that I have any work to do today ;)

Deb ill miss you heaps sweetie! You have made such an impact on my life :) I will be hanging to email you again when I get back and read up on all the positive changes you have made while ill be away! dont let that pretty head of yours over think to much! Lol

ill get some good piccies me in my new bikini's too!!!!! ;)

Chipper!!

Bam!! another awesome session done! This morning I woke up feeling rather chipper! I knew that I had legs to train at the gym and I felt this was going to be a great session :)
3 sets 8 reps..after a quick warm up I was straight into it!
-squats 55kg...nice and low, excellent form, good burn in my legs
-deadlifts 37.5kg..heavier then last time which was great.
-walking lunges 10kg db's..did these with a hold at the bottom of each rep, at this stage I could hear Zel cursing at me Lol! so I stirred her up some more with a longer hold ;)
-stationary lunges 10kg db's..also with a good 3 sec hold at the bottom of each rep! Damn they burned!!!
-standing calves..actually went up in weight and did 120kg's!! Yay
after legs we did some abs and then onto the treadmill for a jog. Zel looked like she had enough but we pushed (well I pushed her Lol) and we competed our jog.
I was pretty happy as I did 5km in 31.40mins!!! Not bad for me at all. Zel was alittle behind but I know she worked just as hard.

Im feeling really good and my energy levels are up!! Yipppeee! I love that feeling when you can actually feel that you are fitter.
I started packing my bag last night for Fiji, really dont need alot...definitely wont be needing a winter jacket! :D

So Ive been thinking alot lately about all things positive and how easy (once you make it a habit) it is to be positive. It creates a stronger person and helps you see clearly in stressful or negitive situations.

My grandma use to say to me that I should remember at times in life to stop and smell the roses. Its a great saying in that it actually is nice to literally stop and smell the roses but also to stop at times and just take a breath :)

weekend fun!

Good morning everyone!! Well I had such a fun and fabulous time on the weekend at the races! ill post some pics today on my link. I put some money ($2 Lol) on some horses and I actually won a little back!! My brother also got some winners and won $120!!!

The weather in Wollongong is beautiful and so much warmer then the ACT. I got up on Saturday morning at 7am and went for a walk..I didnt even need a jumper! :)

Ate pretty well over the weekend, which I was happy about. I made sure I ate a healthy lunch before the races as I knew there would be bad food there, but since I was full from lunch I didnt touch a thing! Had a few glasses of champers which was also lovely....funny thing is since I had cut back on drinking I find that drinks go alot quicker to my head, not a bad thing though as I dont drink as much!

This morning I got up at 6am and went out and did some interval training for 40mins in total, I was nice puffed at the end of it. Was actually a really hard but fun session...I dont think Zel would have called it fun though! lol.

So only a few days now and Im on holidays!!!!!!!! Im soooo counting down!

Well I hope everyone else had a great weekend too :)

Aussie aussie aussie!!!!

Hello my beautiful blogging friends! And what a fabulous day it is :)

This morning I went to my roomie (Zels) citizenship ceremony!! Yay for being an Aussie! Was as a great ceremony and I took loads of piccies so she can send them to her parents. I clapped and cheered her on...although I think she was probably alittle embarrassed at how loud I was being...Well I was proud thats all ;) After work today we are heading to Wollongong and staying at my parents place, Ive organised to have a BBQ in true Aussie style! My parents are actually on holidays at the moment but my brothers and their partners are coming over to celebrate!
Then tomorrow morning we are getting up early for a jog (hopefully at the beach) and then its dress up time and off to the races!!!!! Yipppeeee...Im sooo looking forward to it :) It will be Zel, one of my brothers, my BF Pete and I. I also havent seen my brother in a while so it will be great to catch up!

Its actually warm today and I didnt even have to wear jacket this morning!! Can you believe it :) I love warm weather and cant wait for it to warm up some more! Never liked the cold as I can never seem to warm up properly!
So now after today its only 3 days next week and...thats right...HOLIDAYS!!!! I LOVE holidays!!!!!

Im on a total high today...not sure if it was the excitement of this mornings ceremony or the warm weather...or maybe its all that! And also just that life is fantastic, it really is what you make it and its up to you whether you wake up and say today is going to be a great day or a grumpy day..but I choose GREAT DAY everyday!

Well id better be off, have to finish some work and then I get to leave early as we have to drive to Wollongong this afternoon...better make sure I check my list of things to take so I dont forget anything!

Sooooooo have a WONDERFUL, FABULOUS, EXCITING, HAPPY, LOVING weekend :D
